Cycling a Loop for a TREEmendous Cause

Greetings from Toronto! Welcome to my official Tour des Trees 2010 fundraising site.

Participating in Tour des Trees represents a creative opportunity to financially support progressive tree research and education for one of our most precious and overlooked resources on the planet, the Urban Tree. This years "Chicago Loop" starts at Millennium Park on July 18, 2010 and heads north towards Wisconsin and then west towards the Mississippi river in Iowa and then loops back eastward towards Chicago and ending at the famous Morton Arboretum on July 24, 2010. This will mark my 8 th consecutive Tour des Trees which blends my environmental passions and ultimately directs tax deductible dollars to a great cause. The cause is simple; to advance professional urban tree care through progressive research and to increase awareness through educational initiatives.

For tree industry professionals, this research keeps us moving forward with state of the art tree care methods and techniques. It simply brings intelligence and professional care to the trees. One of the most rewarding aspects of riding the Tour is participating in the strong educational outreach programming along with the multiple Tree Planting legacies left in our 550 mile wake.

Funds raised here in Canada are dedicated to the Jack Kimmel International Grant, created by the Canadian TREE Fund to support critical research projects. All pledges are followed up with registered charitable tax receipts. To acknowledge your contribution, we will be including your donor information in the Canadian TREE Fund's newsletter and web site for all to applaud.
