| My name is Lisa Boland and I am running the Chicago Marathon on 10-10-10. I had such a wonderful experience last year, that I had to go out and do it one more time! Thanks to the generosity of my family and friends, with your donations last year, 4 children with pediatric cancer were able to receive a small miracle from Bear Necessities. As most of you know I work at Advocate Hope Children's Hospital in our outpatient oncology department. Along with another child life specialist, I run our teen oncology support group, "Bear Hugs". This wonderful group is funded through a grant by Bear Necessities Pediatric Cancer Foundation. I see everyday how the money raised for this wonderful organization helps children and their families. They not only give children fighting cancer a small miracle, they help with research and fund wonderful programming to help the pediatric cancer population.
Every school day, 46 children or 2 classrooms of students will be diagnosed with cancer. Unfortunately, more than one of us know someone this is affecting right now. Please help us put an end to pediatric cancer, and make a child happy with a small miracle from Bear Necessities. I appreciate anything you can pledge for this wonderful cause.
