| Teal Wings of Hope Foundation is involved in providing awareness and education. We are out in our communities handing out awareness materials and educating as many people as we can. If we can make one person aware of the symptoms and they take that home to their families and friends and they encourage someone to go to their doctors and discuss their symptoms with their doctors we can help to save someone’s life. Ovarian Cancer only whispers and we need to make people aware of this disease while it is in the early stages and the survival rate is much higher.
We want to help all people that have been touched by this disease, along with patients; we would also like to help survivors, spouses, caregivers, family and friends. We can all use a little extra help from time to time whether it is someone to talk to when you are having a bad day, or you are exhausted and would just like to have a meal supplied to you or need someone to run errands; we can do that for you. We will provide transportation to a doctor’s appointment or to your chemotherapy. Gift baskets are given to patients going through chemotherapy to brighten up their day. We have people that make hand crocheted or knitted chemo hats specifically for our foundation so we can hand them out to you. We can help you find support groups if that is what you are looking for or help find services that you need. We want to have personal interaction with you and be there to support you. We are here to help in any way that we can. |
