Walking for a CURE!
Hey there!! And thanks for taking the time out to visit my fundraising website... to those of you not familiar with Crohns disease it is something I've been fighting for the past couple of years. But what the heck is Crohns disease? Crohn's disease is a form of inflammatory disease that causes inflammation and ulcers that may affect the deepest layers of the lining of the digestive tract. It can also cause abnormal openings or connections (fistulas) in the diseased intestine. Symptoms of Crohn's disease include episodes of diarrhea, abdominal pain, high fever, nausea, loss of appetite, and weight loss, joint pain. People with Crohn's disease may sometimes need to be hospitalized for treatment of their symptoms. ( In my own case I've been hospitalized twice within the past 2 years and have taken so many different medications I was once up to 20 pills a day!) and why should I donate? Currently there is not a cure for crohns disease, and that means more research! This means..more money is needed to fund research so we can all live happy productive lives. :) So please if you can donate, please do so! Thanks for taking the time to visit my page!

Take Steps for Crohn’s & Colitis is the nation’s largest event dedicated to finding cures for digestive diseases. Not only am I participating in this event, but I am raising money for crucial research that wouldn’t even have been possible a few short years ago.

More than 1.4 million patients across the country suffer from these painful and unpredictable diseases. Beyond raising money for research, Take Steps brings together the community in a fun and energetic atmosphere. Participants are encouraged to make noise and be heard -- raising awareness of these little-known diseases in their community and across the nation.

Please support my efforts by making a tax-deductible contribution to the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation. With your help, we will fund important research and raise awareness of diseases that afflict millions of people.
