| This February, James Hubert Blake HS will be participating in the Pennies for Patients High School Challenge sponsored by the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. This program challenges Montgomery County schools to various components, asking students to raise awareness and funds for the society through school-wide and community events. The winning high school receives a party package that will be used for the Post-Prom. The prize includes unlimited Dominos pizza, $350 in Best Buy door prizes (our choice), and a DJ for the event. Our goal is $10,000 and with your help we can meet that goal and help raise awareness for a disease that kills one person every ten minutes. We hope that we can work with you to promote this program, raise awareness and collect enough donations to win the Post-Prom prize!! |

Leukemia still causes more deaths than any other cancer among children. We are excited to help support the more than 380 researchers and projects to help erase blood cancers! LLS has invested more than $600 million in grants since 1949. Donations will also help to support their patient services provided in 68 chapters across the US and Canada.
