Karl's Swim for Kids
Swimming to keep kids safe and healthy
On July 9th Karl Jacobs, M.D., husband of Audrey and father of Gabriel and Jonas, became the 134th solo swimmer to cross the Catalina Channel, a 21-mile stretch of Pacific ocean between Catalina Island and Palos Verdes, California. A lifelong swimmer, Karl has enjoyed the benefits of early swim instruction and wishes to help make swim lessons available to every child. Karl has dedicated this swim to supporting the education outreach efforts of the San Diego Surf Lifesaving Association. By sponsoring Karl, you are helping kids learn to swim and promoting healthy physical activity in our children. Please consider supporting this cause by giving a tax deductible contribution of $1 per mile for $21; $5 per mile for $105; or $10 per mile for $210. Your donation is tax- deductible under Tax-ID# 33-0910115. You may use this site to make a donation online or you may mail your gift to: San Diego Surf Lifesaving Association P.O. Box 880092, San Diego, CA 92168. Thank you for your generous support.
