Thank you for your interest in the All Stars Project! As a team of dedicated volunteers for the 2010 Summer Street Performance Campaign, we are happy to have the opportunity to talk to you about why the All Stars Project is such an important part of our community.

Our work with the All Stars Project has shown us that the Street Performance Campaign is not just another program to volunteer for—it is bigger than that. This is our opportunity to make an impact on the lives of young people in our community by making possible the fantastic work of the All Stars Project’s programs.

The street performance team we are a part of consists of longtime community organizers who have spent countless hours—every year—dedicating their time and energy to provide young people with new life opportunities. Our team also includes 45 college interns from around the United States and abroad. The street performance campaign is our opportunity to meet new people on the streets of Chicago, New York, New Jersey, and San Fransisco, to spread the word about the All Stars Project, to meet new donors, and to invite people to join our community. Though our backgrounds are diverse, we all share a belief in the power of grassroots organizing and the programs and principles of the All Stars Project.

By joining the All Stars Project community, we are able to dramatically improve the lives of young people in innumerable ways. All Stars allows young people to see new possibilities for their lives by enabling them to explore their interests, to enhance their talents, and to learn how to succeed in the professional world.

These programs build bridges between diverse communities and give young people a taste of success in order to address and reverse the effects of poverty. The best part is that no young person is turned away—everyone makes it into our programs. We are an independently funded non-profit organization—our programs are free for the young people and made possible entirely by the generosity of our private donors. It is our sincere hope that you will choose to become a part of this growing community.

It costs $38 for each young person to participate in one of our programs for a year. During this summer’s special fundraising campaign, we are inviting all individuals to sponsor at least four young people. Please look to the right hand side of the page to see how you can contribute.
