The Land Has Been Provided...

Dear friends, family, and HIS Network Members,

HIS Real Estate Network has teamed up with International Support Ministries in a non-profit charitable arrangement to raise much-needed funds for a multi-purpose enrichment facility in the Sudan, Africa, that will provide much needed benefits in an area crying out for help.

Meet the People

The Sudan School Project

Sudan, Africa. Even in the 21st century, here countless families barely survive on annual per capita incomes less than the average American spends each year on fast food. A place where clean drinking water is scarce and children die every single day of malnutrition. A country ravaged by violent war, and torn by civil strife and religious animosities.

When you SOW A SEED today you can help fund the construction of a multi-purpose enrichment facility in Sudan to provide:

1) local community center 2) safe indoor public educational facility 3) central fresh water source for the surrounding region 4) a place where people can find their true purpose

It takes a village...

Please read this letter below written by David W. List, coordinator of the project for International Support Ministries, and pray for Southern Sudan and your involvement with this School Project.

Your smallest contribution can change lives for the better.

Be blessed,

The team at HIS Real Estate Network

Letter from David W. List RE: current progress and plans for the Sudan School Project…

We are doing our part to infuse hope into what has seemed a hopeless situation. For more than 20 years, southern Sudan , in North Africa , has been devastated by a civil war fueled by greed, as well as, ethnic and religious prejudice. To put it plainly, the Islamic and predominantly Arab northern Sudanese have been trying to gain control of the massive oil fields discovered in the south. The southerners have suffered devastating loss of life, property, and have endured extreme torture. During this time, the international community ignored the atrocities suffered by the native Africans, many of whom are Christian. In recent years, with growing public awareness of the violence, changes are beginning to take place.

A few years ago, I remember hearing a report of the persecuted Christians in Sudan . One man said, “Where are our Christian brothers and sisters? Why don’t they help us?”

We have an opportunity to do something to alleviate some of the hopelessness and aid in the restoration for a brighter future. In southern Sudan where many of the displaced people and refugees fled, Pastor Alphayo teaches a group of children under a tree and makeshift structure. (There have been no schools in the area for twenty years.) Over one hundred children gather under tarpaulin-draped sticks and sit on logs and rocks to learn. Pastor Alphayo and his helpers also provide lunch for the children who attend school.

While sitting in my office one day, God spoke to me and told me to help build a school in southern Sudan. Like most of us, my first response was that I did not have the time or resources to get involved. The next week God spoke to me again, and this time I embraced what He was asking me to do. At that point, I did not even know about this small school, so I called my Dad who lives in Kenya and asked if he knew of a legitimate need in Sudan . He travels to Sudan often to minister. That is how we got started, but we cannot do this alone and need your help. To put our words into action we have taken on the project of raising the money to construct a permanent school building.

Currently, we have been granted a piece of land by the government for a multipurpose building, which will include both a school and a church. The legal paperwork is now in place, and we recently secured the property with a fence. In the last few weeks, we provided water in the form of a new well. This well will provide fresh water to the people, so they will not be dependant on the often-contaminated water of a river. The fence and well cost approximately $7500. The next step is purchasing the 26 X 60 steel building, shipping it from Kenya and erected on site. We currently have $8,600 of the $25,000 needed to complete this project.

Please help us change the lives of these children and bring hope to the community. We need to raise this money quickly, as a team will leave from the States to help with the building in November. Please consider you personal donation to this cause and forward this message to those you know.
