Participants in the following Male and Female age groups can compete:
16-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49,
50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80 & over.
We're fundraising to expand our programs across the Chicagoland area. DBSA-GC currently provides monthly educational meetings and support groups in four sites in Chicago, Evanston, and Palatine. There are several types of mood disorders and the government has slashed funding in many behavioral health clinics. However,
services are needed now more than ever.
Statistics*:
- Approximately 9.5% of U.S. adults are afflicted with a mood disorder. 45% of these cases are severe. Women are 50% more likely to experience this condition during their lifetime. The largest numbers are individuals in the 30 - 44 age group. - Every 15 minutes someone in the U.S. dies from suicide.
- Almost 6 million Americans have bipolar disorder.

Join our marathon team and run 26.2 miles. Help us provide for members when they need it most, support families & friends, and educate the general public.
Race Day Information -
Start Location and Time:
7:30AM CST in Grant Park
The maximum allotted time for the marathon is 6 1/2 hours and digital clocks are posted throughout the course.
