| Staff Sergeant Darryl D. Booker was a member of the Virginia Army National Guard deployed to Iraq in October 2006. He was killed in the line of duty January 20, 2007. SSG was returning from a forward operating base in the Anbar Province of Iraq. He was aboard a helicopter that was shot down just outside of Baghdad, Iraq.
