| Many from the New Orleans area have either been displaced by Hurricane Katrina or have expressed interest in supporting the area's premier road race, recognized as a world class event, the Crescent City Classic. While we are blessed that many of our sponsors are still willing (and able) to support the event, as you can imagine, Katrina has unfortunately affected the race and we could use your support.
You can help us to continue one of the hallmark events of the Crescent City, New Orleans, by entering the race "In Spirit". Even though you will not actually participate in the event, because of your support "In Spirit", you will be mailed a special item commemorating the race AFTER the event.
In working with City Park, we are acutely aware that Tad Gormley Stadium is in desperate need of restoration. In particular, Katrina destroyed the electrical system supporting the stadium when the stadium was left flooded for weeks.
Since the storm, all football games, soccer matches and track meets have had to be relocated. The impact on the youth of the city is dramatic. Accordingly, we are dedicating all proceeds from the "In Spirit" entries to the restoration of Tad Gormley stadium, so that the area's premier facility can once again be host to the many area sports programs that utilized the facility before the storm.
Please help rebuild our world class city, New Orleans!
