|
| SOS Health Care has been a grass roots campaign in Myrtle Beach, SC, addressing the needs of the most vulnerable persons in Horry County for 17 years. Their primary mission is to raise money to help families with autistic children. One out of every 150 children born in the U.S. is autistic. It is quickly becoming a national epidemic.
Most parents of autistic children cannot afford the services that can help their child the most. A family paying $50,000 per year for services to change the future for their child can’t afford health insurance for the family along with food, housing, and transportation costs overwhelming their budget. The cause of Autism is still unknown.
Four other programs at SOS Health are independent non-profits: CareTeam, SharedCare, Senior Peer Counseling, and the Children's Center of Cedar Branch. |
