| Schuylkill Navy's Row For The Cure Philadelphia |
|
Row For The Cure Philadelphia benefits the local affiliates of the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. It includes rowing of sweep and scull boats as well as paddling of dragonboats and kayaks. Recreational and competitive levels of participation are included. The distance for rowing events is 2.75 miles and paddling for 1.25 miles. The fee is $25 per person with prizes for the best decorated boat and team that raises the most money. Remembrance paddles will be sold to honor those who have passed away as a result of breast cancer.
We encourage everyone to participate in raising money to end this dreadful disease...breast cancer.
Come join in the fun and festive activities on the Schuylkill River and Fairmount Park so that we can get "One Stroke Closer to the Cure"!
If you are interested in rowing or paddling for the Row for the Cure Philadelphia Regatta on October 11, 2009, please register at www.regattacentral.com
