| Runners from SHADE Foundation of America, Blue Lizard Australian Suncream and the Arizona Cancer Center have combined to Outrun Skin Cancer. This year our team has set their goal on raising $100,000 which will go to funding important programs such as nationwide school and community shade covers and the Arizona Skin Cancer Registry. One in five children will grow up to develop skin cancer and we can reduce this risk by providing effective sun protection. It is estimated that one shade cover can protect up to 12,000 children during its lifetime! Blue Lizard Australian Suncream is committed to skin cancer protection by donating over a half a million sunscreen samples on behalf of SHADE Foundation to schools and community health fairs. The Arizona Cancer Center plays an integral part in skin cancer prevention research and funding a skin cancer registry is the only way to determine if we are lowering skin cancer incidences.
