I'm a lucky person; I get to fulfill a goal that I set for myself, which is to challenge my physical and mental capabilities to the max. I'll be working towards this goal by cycling 3,415 miles across America in the spring of 2010. Unfortunately not everyone gets to choose their challenges and this brings me to my second goal.
As I cycle across America, my second goal is to raise funds for the Injured Marine Semper Fi Fund. Our wounded Marines, soldiers and sailors face enormous challenges daily. The Injured Marine Semper Fi Fund is committed to serving those who preserve our freedom by helping our injured and critically ill Marines, sailors, soldiers and their families.
Growing up as a "military brat”, I have seen first hand the sacrifices Marines, sailors and soldiers, as well as their families have made so that we can live safely and pursue our own goals and dreams. And being married to my husband Don Hall, a former Marine, I am reminded of their sacrifices almost daily!
As I begin to prepare for my challenge to ride across America, I ask for your support in my efforts to help our wounded heroes as they face their challenges by contributing to my fundraising goals. Thank you so much for your support and remember no contribution is too small! Now let’s get out there and make it an “Outstanding” day, I know I will!
