I am writing you regarding a special event I will be participating in this summer, a very unique fundraiser called the Seattle 100.

On Saturday, July 25th, myself and one hundred other motorcycle enthusiasts will attempt to circle Pacific Raceway’s road course (formally Seattle International Raceway) as many times as we can with the sole purpose of raising money towards kidney disease research. Each and every rider in the Seattle 100 is raising money through friends, family and co-workers etc., with all the proceeds of the event going directly to The Nephcure Foundation (www.nephcure.org) – the only organization in the world dedicated specifically to the cure of Glomerular kidney disease. Riders raise funds through per-lap pledges or fixed contributions, and all contributions are tax deductible. Last years event was attended by several of the world’s fastest pro motorcycle racers, heard on various radio stations was seen on Speed TV and KING 5 “Evening Magazine” and the events 93 riders raised over $125,000. This year, one hundred riders are expected to participate, and the fundraising goal for this year’s 2009 Seattle 100 is to exceed $150,000. This event is being hosted by 2 Fast Track days- (www.2-fast.org)

I am writing you to see if you would have an interest in sponsoring me on July 25th. My goal is raise a minimum of $500, although I’d like to top $5000. If you or your company would like to help me participate in this event, I’d sure appreciate it..

I know in these recent hard times that money is tight for everyone, but feel free to help out in anyway you can; even a $5 donation is welcome!
