As many of you know, I am swimming the English Channel this summer, sometime between July 5th and 12th. This is something I have always wanted to do and this year, I have my opportunity!
I am going to be swimming in honor of the friend that introduced me to open water swimming, Colleen Vojvodich, who lost her life to cancer last summer. Coleen successfully completed the English Channel in 2002, a feat marking her awesome strength and determination. I am sure that I am going to need to tap into some of her strength and courage to get me across the channel!
I would greatly appreciate any donations for finding a cure for cancer. Specifically, the money raised for my swim will benefit the University of California San Francisco Children's Hospital.
