My friends at the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of America (CCFA) recently asked if I would be interested in being an Honored Teammate for Team Challenge, the foundation's new and exciting endurance training and fundraising program. On November 16th, a group of Northwest runners and walkers will join 13 other chapters from across the country and take part in the San Antonio Rock 'n Roll Half Marathon in a collective effort to raise money and awareness for Crohn's Disease and Ulcerative Colitis. In July of this year, Team Challenge raised more than $2,000,000 nationally for the foundation at the Napa to Sonoma Half Marathon. Needless to say, it's an amazing program that has changed the lives of many people, including a few close friends. I hope to participate in Team Challenge someday soon, but in the meantime, I just ask for your support as an Honored Teammate.
