Please Help Me Make A Difference....1 Step At A Time!
Dear Friends, Family, and Loves Ones -
On April 28th, 2012 I will be running the Country Music Marathon in Nashville, TN while simultaneously pushing 2 children with various physical disabilities in their sports wheelchairs throughout the entire 26.2 miles! After 5 hard months of training with a sports wheelchair loaded with 50 pounds of sand bags (to duplicate the body weight of the children I will be pushing), the race is finally around the corner and I am ready to run! I ask that you please spend the next few minutes watching the video below as it will give you a sense of the adventure and challenge I am about to embark on!
2 years ago I started an initiative called Run, Walk, Wheel, & Roll, - a multi-national volunteer initiative designed to provide experiences that transcend the physical limitations of the body by pushing children with various physical and cognitive disabilities in their wheelchairs through Marathons, 1/2 Marathons, and other physical endeavors while simultaneously building awareness and raising money for the amazing programs and schools that support such kids. In its simplest form, by providing your arms and legs, you are the vehicle by which a child can participate in an event that they would otherwise not have ben able to participate in. Since it's conception in 2010, RWWR has provided 1st-time race experiences for over 50 children while raising over $50,000 for such programs.
This year, I have once again chosen to support ABLE Youth (more on on this amazing program below). Race day (April 28th, 2012) is one of the most important days of my year. I ask that you kindly support me through the Country Music Marathon by making an online donation. All donations go directly to ABLE Youth and are 100% tax deductible!
Thank you for your support!
Total Donations Collected:$16,684.00

"Go Zac! So proud of what you're doing. Pace yourself and remember each step you take is a step the child your pushing takes. I've heard kids talk about how they feel, like THEY are running the race. You are giving such a great gift. You help these kids to be able to RUN. You're making a dream come true. Hopefully that's inspiring at mile 19 ;-)
