| Mikayla Thomas' family was visiting California from New York when Mikayla came into the world 8 weeks premature. Her family stayed at the Orange County Ronald McDonald House for 65 days while Mikayla was in the hospital... as fragile and vulnerable as anyone could imagine.
The Thomases couldn't imagine leaving Mikayla's side. "The House became our home during a very frightening time. We are honored to come back to California to walk on behalf of the House. We can't wait to show everyone how big Mikayla has gotten!" says Waikuen.
To date, The Orange County Ronald McDonald House has provided more than 8,000 families with a temporary residence near medical facilities where their children are being treated for serious illnesses such as cancer.
On January 7, 2007, Anil will run the half marathon. The rest of the Thomas clan will walk in the 5K.
