Here's the deal: at the beginning of the year, I decided to run a marathon. Now I've decided to make the experience more meaningful by running for charity. Because music, literature and teaching are the three loves of my life, I've decided to raise money for Rock For Reading. You can learn more about them here: http://www.rockforreading.org/index.html

Rock For Reading was founded in 2004 by singer/songwriter Alice Peacock to leverage the power of ROCK to inspire literacy – motivating and empowering people to enrich their lives through reading. We accomplish our mission by rallying communities to gather the resources needed to address this critical issue. These resources – people, money and books – are used to support organizations championing the cause of literacy, including libraries, schools and community education/advocacy groups.
