| "In 2004 I began my journey in the sport of triathlon hoping that I could become one of the best in the world and represent the US at the Beijing Olympic Games. After winning the Under 23 World Championship in 2005, and having also raced for two US Elite World Championship teams since then, I was thrilled to be the first U.S. athlete to qualify for the Beijing Olympics in 2008. This is an opportunity that I have worked so hard for, and I am thrilled to be representing my country and my sport on the world stage. I love racing in the US and particularly in New England, where I enjoy watching the amazing growth of triathlon and watching all of the age groupers achieve their own personal goals. However, as our sport continues to grow globally, and my racing commitments require that I race all over the world, the financial burden has become ever greater. In 2008 for example, which (aside from the Olympic Games) will represent a pretty typical race schedule, I will be traveling to Japan, Europe, Australia, and China for races. Every donation that you are able to provide will help me achieve my goals this year, and race faster as I pursue my dreams of Olympic gold at the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games.
