| I have never Served our Country and have always wanted to give thanks for the freedoms we share as Americans.
Last year I was touched by a 60 Minutes that I saw on TV. They profiled some injured soldiers and the shocking part was how much red tape they go through to collect their benefits.
I have been a cyclist for years so, when I was approached to participate in this ride I knew this was how I could give back to the Soldiers who put it all on the line for our Freedom.
This ride is my way of giving back to those who have Served our Country.
The "Ride for Semper Fi" is a charity bicycle ride that will take place on October 14th and arrive in finish in California on October 17th. We will begin in Scottsdale, Arizona, and end in San Diego, California.
I am sending you this letter to ask you for your support as we ride more than 400 miles to raise money for the "Injured Marines Semper Fi Fund."
The Injured Marine Semper Fi Fund provides financial assistance and quality of life solutions to Marines and Sailors injured in combat, training, or with life threatening illnesses. The fund has made more than 21 million dollars in grants to Marines, Sailors, and thier families.
When you pledge your gift and support myself and my team you will be giving directly to those Marines who have made the ultimate commitment and sometimes the ultimate sacrifice to preserve our way of life and our freedom.
