| One Epic Ride...Again |
|
| The Inagural Ride For Semper Fi in 2008 showed all of us how much we can do to assist our armed forces personnel. We will again ride 430+ miles from Scottsdale, AZ to San Diego, CA raising funds for the Injured Marine Semper Fi Fund. Last year we rode as a ragtag group of cyclists. This year we join together as friends, all of us moved by what we saw along the way in terms of strangers donating to us on the street, everyone taking an interest in what we were doing, and the unfailing hospitality of everyone we came in contact with. Together, by donating and spreading the word, we honor all of our armed forces. In doing so, we are showing them how much their service is appreciated. BELOW: Davey Lind and I at the end of the RFSF 2008. A true American hero, Sgt. Lind lost both legs due to an IED in Iraq. He is a shining example of how the Injured Marine Semper Fi Fund can help our servicemen and women and their families. |
