A BIG THANK YOU to all of our friends who met us in Tallapoosa! Please join us in Dawsonville at The Dawsonville Pool Room on June 21st from 11 to 1 pm!
Dear Friends -
I am so excited to be kicking off my 19th year of The Rhubarb Jones March Across Georgia. While some things have changed, my continued commitment to curing cancer is stronger than ever. After almost two decades of marching across Georgia, I remain as committed as I was that first year. From the beginning, I have pledged to do all I could to stop these dreaded disease from ruining the lives of children and families. Together, we have supported The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s important mission of curing leukemia, lymphoma, and myeloma and helping patients with these terrible diseases. As you have heard me say many times, I want to see cancer eliminated as a cause of suffering in this world.
I know personally how dramatically a cancer diagnosis can change a life. As many of you know, I lost my grandmother to a blood cancer – and that loss has fueled my relentless dedication to curing these diseases. Together, we have donated many research dollars to scientists who are searching for a cure. We have made so much progress with the help of your generous donations, including helping to fund the newest, best treatment for Chronic Myelogenous Leukemia—the second most common form of leukemia. Additionally, The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society has started an important new program helping new treatments get from the lab to the patient faster, where they can really make a difference. For more information on The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's important work, please visit their website.
Your donation can help support important new treatments and programs like these, so please, give all that you can.
My friends, please help support the Rhubarb Jones March Across Georgia 2008 by donating now. Thank you in advance for your support of my commitment to find a cure.
Relentless in my dedication to find a cure,
Rhubarb Jones |
