I would like to take a moment to share a story on a illness That I just found out my daughter & myself are inflicted with and feel it is worth fighting for a cure before any other child or adult will have to suffer as so many do now with no treatment & no cure.. We call it the "Forgotten Cancer"
A Desmoid Tumor (aggressive fibromatosis) It is a rare
un glorified tumor that in most cases is a result of Polyps, Colon Cancer, FAP ( Familial adenomatous polyposis). Which many of you know of these illness's but yet few of us hear of a devastating tumor that can develop as a result from these illness's. This tumor slowly consumes tissue, organs, bones & anything else that gets in its way with no way to stop it:
MD Anderson Cancer Center, desmoids are viewed as a malignant disease, a designation, Dr. Lev said, that hinges on the definition of malignancy. “Per the book, malignant cells are cells that can metastasize from the primary tumor to a different site. Run, Walk, Donate & help raise awareness by spreading the word. To date the only treatment is Chemo & Radiation Which "DOES NOT" make a Desmoid Tumor go away like they do with clinical cancers. In most cases these treatments have little or no effect on our tumors just pure hope. That is why once again I'm asking for your help by opening your heart & wallet to help us find a viable cure & treatment for a decease that does not discriminate against age, race or gender.
