| Real-Aid for Autism |

| Real-Aid is a walking relay that begins in East Islip and finishes at the Montauk Lighthouse. The walk is non-competitive and it follows Montauk Highway the entire way. Each School District will carry the "baton" through their own community. So, for example, East Islip will carry the baton to Great River. Great River will pass the baton to Oakdale etc. till we reach Montauk Lighthouse. We will begin on May 16th at 5 am and expect to arrive at the halfway point (Quogue) by 8pm. We will leave from Quogue on May 17th at 5am and hope to arrive at the Montauk Lighthouse by 7pm that evening. The course is beautiful and very inspiring. There are a total of 53 stops along the 81 mile course. The distance between each stop varies but each leg of this event is no less than a mile and no more than 2.5 miles.
You only need to register once and you are welcome to walk as much or as little as you want. This event is meant to reach out to everyone who has been touched by Autism in some way. The proceeds from the event will be divided among the four townships (Islip, Brookhaven, Southampton and East Hampton) and will support Autism programs specific to those areas.
So come out and walk..or support someone else who is walking!
