This is Kiara and I in 2005 at our annual Ninja Retreat. She is soooooo Cute!

Dear Friends; I am Kyoshi Allie Alberigo, and Kiara is my daughter. At the age of 4 years old, Kiara was diagnosed with Neurofibromatosis (NF) . At first we were in denial, but we took the time to understand what we were dealing with. Through many doctors and personal research we came up with a plan of action. We didn't tell Kiara until the age of 9. Now she understands what is going on in her life to some extent. Thankfully, so far Kiara has not had too much to worry about other then the occasional fibroma under her skin and keeping up with checkups and MRIs. We are lucky, compared to some of the unfortunate parents and children who have to deal with so much more. As you know, with more money we can do more research, and possibly come up with some solutions. We can put someone on the moon, orbit the planet, and email and text from anywhere on the earth, let’s put some of the money into something that may change a child’s or families’ life forever. Don't just do it for me, or for Kiara, do it for everyone who is affected by NF. Thanks. In spirit; Allie Alberigo
