Come out and ride 4 research!Families that would like to participate but do not ride or don't have a motorcycle at this time are encouraged to participate as well on Oct 24, 2009 starting at Crest Bible Church, 4835 Gibbs Rd., Kansas City, KS to Riverfront Park, Atchison, KS.
There will be chance drawings, Children's Tumor Foundation shirts for those donations in the amount of $100 or more, and awards for the person that donates the most money and comes the furthest to participate. After the ride back to the church, everyone is welcome to stay for the bonfire gathering.

A little bit about the Ride's NF Hero Koda. He (diagnosed w/ NF at 2 yr old, now 4) has a large plexiform neurofibroma tumor that runs from his C2 vertebrae down the left part of his throat. This tumor engulfs his carotid artery and goes into his chest cavity. It also is pushing on his airway. It has continued to grow, and there is no treatment or cure at this time for Koda.
We must find a cure or at the very least treatment to reduce the size of this tumor. NF causes many things but a few are scolosis, deafness, blindness, deformities, learning disabilities, tumors inside and outside the body and even death.
Your help is greatly appreciated! We just want to save his life, and find a cure so that no one else has to endure the complex unpredictability of this disorder. Thank you in advance for having a heart for kids, NF, and giving to a much needed cure! |
