Hello, my name is Nicholas Biering and I am 10 years old. I go to First Baptist Church of Moncks Corner and my pastor and friend is Mr. Hal West. I attend school at St. John’s Christian Academy and I will be in the 5th grade with Mrs. Holtzman. I make really good grades in school and love to go there. My favorite sports are soccer and racing. I like to ride motorcycles, go to movies, play the Wii, attend Boy Scouts, go to church, ride my bike and shoot my bb-gun.

I am just like many 10 year olds except that I have Neurofibromatosis which makes me have to go to the doctor a lot. I have to do some things differently than some kids but I know God has a big plan for me…even if I don’t know what it is yet. I feel great about raising money and I am really good at it!! I really enjoyed the race last year and am looking forward to attending again this year. This year I would like to raise $8000 for the Children’s Tumor Foundation. I would like to thank every single person who donated to me last year and to everyone who will give again this year. The Foundation is important because it helps give money to find a cure for NF.
