| Let's "finish the course" together! On August 2, I'll be competing in the Steelhead Ironman 70.3 ("Half Ironman") race. It's a 1.2 mile swim, 56 mile bike, and 13.1 mile run. So, I guess you can say I'll be "suffering for the Sudanese" (hopefully not too much suffering)! As I finish the course, you too can partner with me to help "finish the course" on the hospital being built in southern Sudan. Partners in Compassionate Care (PCC) is finalizing the hospital this summer -- the only surgical hospital in that area (an area the size of Texas with 750,000 people)! My goal is to help raise awareness of the need, and raise $8,000 to purchase the satellite communications system. This system will enable needed communication & collaboration with other NGOs, as well as training, diagnostic support, and ongoing assistance for the Project Manager, hospital staff, and the two Sudanese doctors already working there today.
