| The 2008 Union-Tribune Race for Literacy and Kids Magic Mile benefits the San Diego Council on Literacy. The San Diego Council on Literacy provides support to new and existing literacy programs throughout San Diego County. These programs include adult, youth, and family literacy programs providing one-on-one, small group, ESL, and classroom services.
