The Providence Women have blasted through an undefeated season with heart, grit, and fearless complete-team play. We took that momentum to the New England Championships and came away in first place with the opportunity to play for a national bid at the Northeast Championships. Facing Monmouth, New Jersey at NRUs, PWRFC showed that they were the more determined side and came away with a hard fought 16-12 win-- launching the team into the DII National Tournament in Orlando in just three weeks. In order to complete this fantastic season, we are asking your for help. Providence Women's Rugby is a not-for-profit club, meaning every player has to pay their way to all matches and post-season tournaments out of pocket. Any contributions to our effort will be put towards offsetting the cost of travel and hotel expenses for the trip to Orlando. Our hard work and enthusiasm have taken us this far, but your support is needed to finish off this great 2008 season and our first run at a National Championship! |
