| I am a single parent to four daughters ranging in age from 9 to 13. I was diagnosed with breast cancer a year and a half ago. To treat this I went through Chemotherapy and radiation. During this treatment I continued to work as a kindergarten teacher and only missed 5 days of work throughout my whole treatment. My dream, or maybe I should say my goal is to run a marathon in under 4 hours, a 3:50 would qualify for Boston...WOW. Prior to my diagnosis I was an avid runner. I had run in three marathons and was training for a fourth. My best time was a 4:05 in the Chicago marathon in 2006. I continued to run throughout my treatment, and am still a runner. However, I have not been able to get back into the shape both mentally and physically that I was in proir to my treatment. I am really hoping for some help in finding my "old" self or maybe even a new self. Andin doing so I would love to achieve the goal I had set for myself before the treatment. The part that I am struggling with today is that I have a lot of joint pain in my feet. I have been told this is a side effect of the drug tamoxafin. I would like to know what I can do to overcome this so that I can get back to the runner "high" I used to feel after a good run. I would love your help in doing this!!
