Want to pull a plane to benefit Special Olympics athletes?
On August 8th, teams of 25 will pull a FedEx Airbus 310 aircraft a total distance of 25 feet on the tarmac of Long Beach Airport.
This test of strength and endurance puts men and women against machine as teams play tug-of war with an aircraft. Law Enforcement agencies, Fire Departments, as well as Powerlifters and Bodybuilders, private companies, colleges and the local community are all welcome to come out to try and pull this plane 25 feet. The winners will receive valuable prizes and a year's worth of official bragging rights!
Steps
1. Click on the Register for this Event tab (found underneath the banner at the top of this page).
2. Register for the event by filling in your information.
3. Once you have registered, you will receive two emails from active.com. One email will cofirm your registration and the Second email will read "Your Fundraising Page has been Created." Open this email.
4. Login into your account.
5. You can now edit your fundraising page, by adding your own message, uploading your own photo and more.
When you are finished, click on the "Save & Finish" tab(found at the bottom of the page) and you are ready to send out the link to your page to solicit donations.
Fundraising Requirements
Teams of 25 must raise a minimum of $1,000 to pull.
Individuals must raise a minimum of $50 to pull. (Individuals will be placed on a team.)
