I will be participating in the Philadelphia Distance Run to benefit the national Tourette Syndrome Association on Sept. 20, 2009. I am excited to meet the challenge, especially for such a good cause, but I need your help.
You can help by sponsoring me in the race. Your tax deductible gift will help the National TSA to provide programs and services for people diagnosed with Tourette Syndrome. It helps TSA educate teachers about students with TS, develop quality awareness materials to educate the community and fund a worldwide cutting edge research program to identify the cause and find a cure for TS.
The TSA's materials have been very helpful working with our family and our school district to deal with TS after our son's diagnosis.
Tourette Syndrome is an inherited neurobiological disorder. Symptoms can include uncontrollable physical body tics such as eye blinking, shoulder shrugging and head motions. It can also include vocal tics.
