The Pediatric Hydrocephalus Foundation, Inc. is sponsoring the 1st Annual Hydrocephalus WALK for New York on Saturday, October 9, 2010 at Franklin D. Roosevelt State Park in Yorktown Heights, NY in honor of Thomas Edward Mingst.

Thomas is a bubbly 2-year old boy who suffers from the incurable brain condition called Hydrocephalus. He was diagnosed at 4 months old & has undergone 2 brain surgeries on top of countless MRI’s, x-rays and doctor’s visits. Thomas & other children like him need your help and support.

We are honored to announce that Bobby Collins, “one of the best comics in the country”, owner of New York City’s comedy club “Comix”, host of “VH1 Stand-up Spotlight”, & a guest on all late night talk shows, will be serving as the Honorary Chairman for the event.

The Pediatric Hydrocephalus Foundation, a non-profit 501 (c) 3 charitable organization, educates the community by raising the level of awareness about this incurable brain condition. The PHF provides support to the families, friends and children who are diagnosed with Hydrocephalus.

The PHF raises money for and works with the medical community in searching for a cure and additional treatment options for those with Hydrocephalus. Additionally, the PHF advocates on behalf of the members of the Hydrocephalus community and works with policy makers at the State and Federal level to raise awareness and push for more research and support in our fight against Hydrocephalus.

These children rely on family, friends and their communities who so generously give of their time and dollars to find a cure.
