National Parkinson Foundation Orange County Chapter

Curing PD Is a Marathon Not a Sprint.

The National Parkinson Foundation Orange County Chapter (NPFOCC) has been serving the local Parkinson community for 15 years. We are one of 46 chapters affiliated with the National Parkinson Foundation, the largest Parkinson organization in the world.

PARKINSON’S DISEASE is an incurable, progressive disorder of the central nervous system affecting more than 1.5 million people in the U.S. Parkinson’s disease does not just afflict the elderly; it attacks a wide range of ages. Following are a few Parkinson facts:

• 60,000 people are diagnosed with Parkinson’s every year
• 10% of those diagnosed are under the age of 40 and 15% are under the age of 50
• 1 out of every 100 people over the age of 60 is affected by Parkinson’s
• With the aging of the baby boomers, the impact of this disease will rapidly increase over the next decade.

NPFOCC works very hard to serve the community in and around Orange County and appreciates your help.
