|Established in 2005, Orphan Care Alliance (OCA) is a network of families and agencies that span around the world, volunteers that represent several evangelical churches that stand together with one voice and one heart determined to change the world by serving the fatherless, one need at a time. |
We meet those needs through three key areas: Advocacy, Family Support Ministry, and Local Outreach to fatherless children.
The Advocacy ministry educates families on foster care, domestic and international adoption processes through periodic Adoption Seminars throughout the region. We also assist the local area churches in creating adoption funds to assist members of their congregation in the adoption journey.
Meeting the needs of the whole family is the primary purpose of the Family Support ministry. We provide Pre/Post Adoption Support through local area ministries and partners. The Family Support ministry also provides basic necessities to families through the Department of Family and Children with the supply of diapers, wipes, bottles, formula and other major needs for infants and toddlers.
The Local Outreach Ministry focuses on the relational needs of local children & teens. While there are immediate needs to be addressed, the Local Outreach Ministry establishes relationships with the children in need of academic support, the young mom in Foster Care that needs to be mentored on caring for her children, or the young adult that is aging out of foster care and needs a Life Coach in the journey to independent living by finding a job, creating a budget, or balancing a checkbook.
