Welcome to my Man & Woman of the Year home page!
Several weeks ago I was honored to be nominated to participate in a very worthy fund raising campaign on behalf of The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. The campaign is titled Man of the Year and each dollar I raise serves as a vote. When I was first approached about this campaign by 2006 Man of the Year, Majd el-Azma, I committed right away as it is an opportunity to tangibly support an organization and cause I really believe in. I really felt that this was an active way to support the Society, and volunteered to commit my time, effort and resources to support the campaign. Also, and equally important, was the time I took to reflect on all the relatives, friends and acquaintances I have know during my life that have been impacted by the horrible disease of cancer - let alone the millions I do not know. Finally, I draw strength and inspiration from the children and their families dealing with cancer - and their courage in the face of traumatic times. I am sure your reflection would evoke the same feeling.

During this two month campaign, I am committing to raise funds in honor of Sarah Robinson. Sarah has been in remission from Acute Lymphoblast Leukemia for three years (she is 18 years old), but still needs to be checked every four months. This incredible senior at Heritage High School takes classes at Clark College while enjoying her interests in music, writing poetry, acting and volunteering.

The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society has helped advance research aimed toward curing blood cancers such as leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma; while improving the quality of life of patients and their families. Sarah and countless others have directly benefited from the Society and their fundraising dollars.

Please help me support this wonderful cause by giving a tax-deductible donation on my behalf and trust that I’ll do my best to raise as much money as possible by June 13th, 2007. Time is of the essence so please take action now. I have set a lofty goal for the next eight weeks so every dollar helps.

I accepted the nomination recognizing that good things happen when people take action and wanting to follow in the steps of Majd and others who have made these campaigns so successful.

Again, I sincerely appreciate your support! Please feel free to contact me at any time. Tim
