OASIS Retreat 2010
Outdoor Action for Social and Intrapersonal Strength
OASIS, Outdoor Action for Social and Intrapersonal Strength, is a non-profit retreat program that serves at-risk youth in North Carolina. Led by a collaboration of undergraduate students from Duke University, Elon University, and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, OASIS provides middle school students the opportunity to participate in courage eliciting, outdoor activities in order to have fun and build character, teamwork, and self-esteem. We have one retreat each semester. Retreat activities are designed to be thrilling and challenging, yet able to be accomplished. Our previous retreats have included events such as ropes courses, archery, hiking, and rock climbing. For our next retreat, we will be kayaking and learning outdoor skills on the Eno River. Please consider supporting us with a monetary donation so that this retreat can be possible! (visit our website at to learn more about OASIS)
