Run for Autism

This is OAR’s fourth year in the Chevron Houston Marathon’s Run for a Reason program, and we are dreaming big. Our dream is to raise $30,000, enough to fund an OAR autism research study. By joining or supporting OAR’s RUN FOR AUTISM team, you help us move one step closer to realizing our dream.

What’s your running dream? OAR is ready to support your RUN FOR AUTISM at the Chevron Houston Marathon or its associated Half Marathon and 5k. We provide the team gear to support your running efforts and activegiving.com gives you the tools to help raise funds for autism. Your commitment and dedication will be rewarded at the Finish Line and also in the lives of those affected by autism.

Autism has risen at a dramatic rate, striking an estimated 1 in 150 children born today. That’s double the rate of ten years ago and ten times the occurrence of a generation ago. Autism affects three times as many children as juvenile diabetes and even a higher total than childhood cancer.

The Organization for Autism Research (OAR) is a national charity that is committed to excellence in it’s services to families, educators, caregivers and individuals with autism.
