This is the team fundraising page for the 2008 MyoMed Ragnar Relay Northwest Passage. If you or your team would like to dedicate your run to Room to Read, simply click on the "become a fundraiser" link above and follow the step-by-step instructions.
Room to Read is the official Non-Profit Organization of the MyoMed Ragnar Relay Northwest Passage. Room to Read provides quality educational opportunities by establishing libraries, creating local language children's literature, constructing schools, providing education to girls and establishing computer labs.
While Room to Read addresses many educational needs, the MyoMed Ragnar Relay Northwest Passage will focus on one particular Room to Read program, the “Room to Grow” Girls’ Scholarships. It takes just USD $2500 to fund one scholarship for 10 years. These scholarships make it possible for girls in developing countries to attend school, gain a lifelong gift of education, and take control of their lives.
To learn more about Room to Read and their mission check out this video http://www.pbs.org/frontlineworld/rough/2007/06/nepal_a_girls_l.html.
If your team raises the most amount of money by July 25th you will win a free team entry to the 2009 Ragnar Relay of your choice. |
