Meet Henry Wayne Gorder

Henry has Neurofibromatosis (NF1). This disorder can result in tumors to develop anywhere in his body, at any time. It affects 1 in 3,000 people and is more prevalent than Cystic Fibrosis, hereditary Muscular Dystrophy, Huntington's disease and Tay-Sachs combined.

NF is unpredictable. It shows no mercy to age, race or gender. To date, there are only a few effective treatments. There is no cure. We intend to change that.

NF can take Henry's sight and hearing; and his ability to learn, walk, talk and run like other children. His future is in the hands of NF and the fate it decides. So, please join us. Help us fight this disorder and change the course of Henry's life.

Team Henry has decided to put a stop to NF, to fight for Henry's future, a future that will be decided by Henry and NOT NF.

     Troy Longie; lives in Minnesota & a co-worker of Henry's dad.

     Shannon Nelson; lives in Minnesota & a high school friend of Henry's mom.

     Susan Snowdon; lives in Florida & a high school friend of Henry's mom.

Team Henry is a part of the NF Endurance Team and will participate in running, triathlon and cycling events across the US to raise money to find a cure. Here is a list of our 2009 events to date:

The NF Endurance Team is raising money to support the Children's Tumor Foundation(CTF). CTF is the NF national non-profit organization and has a long-term scientific research plan that lead our efforts to find a cure. It is our collective goal to solve the NF Puzzle one mile at a time, one clinical trial at a time, and one potential drug therapy at a time.

          100% of all money raised will go towards research.
