| Kevin's Quest to End NF |
|
| Hello folks,
If you are viewing this page then chances are that you already know me. If not, let me tell you something about myself and why I am running in the 2010 New Orleans Mardi Gras Half-Marathon.
I was born with Neurofibromatosis. The video on this page can tell you details about it. In the video, the possibility of blindness as a result of Neuorofibromatosis (or NF for short) is discussed. This is the case for me. A NF tumor destroyed my left optic nerve while I was still a toddler. I do not know if I have ever had sight in that eye - if I did, I was too young to remember.
This condition may be a part of who I am, but it is not WHAT I am. The prospect of a cure is something I have often dreamed about. Now I have a chance to do something about it. And so do you.
By partnering with me on the NF Endurance team through your donations, you can create a legacy. All proceeds will go to fund NF research and hopefully one day find a cure.
If nothing else, maybe one day a method will be found to reduce the chance of a NF patient passing the gene to his/her offspring, which is currently 50%.
I don't want to beg, but would like to ask for your help with donations to the NF Endurance team which is a part of the Children's Tumor Foundation.
Please. For the Children. |

Below is a video from the Children’s
Tumor Foundation that demonstrates how your support benefits nearly
2 million people worldwide that are affected by Neurofibromatosis. I
hope you’ll please take a few minutes to watch the video and perhaps
be as motivated as we are to support The Children’s Tumor
Foundation.
