Thank you for taking the time to visit my NF Fundraising page. And thank you for considering joining me and the NF Endurance team as we raise awareness and financial support to find a cure for neurofibromatosis. Ever since the 2010 Little Rock Marathon I’ve worn my NF Singlet to every race (kind of takes the decision out of what to wear on race day!) and think about my NF Hero, Mavia, when I run.
Last year, my friends and family helped me raise over $4,000 for NF at the Little Rock marathon. If you were part of my team, thanks for staying with me. If this is your first year, please know that whatever support you can give is awesome. The Children's Tumor Foundation is a fantastic organization and is extremely prudent about turning donations directly into research and support for families with NF.
My goal this year is to raise $5,000. My hope is to raise $10,000. I'm not sure how we'll get from $5-10,000 other than many, many small donations, some bigger ones and some even bigger ones, everyone giving what they can.
My commitment is to contribute a minimum of 10% of what others donate (for every $10 that is donated, I will give at least $1) and I’ve registered for 2 marathons, Little Rock on March 6th and the Vienna City Marathon in Austria on April 17. NF is not limited to the US and I am excited to run an International marathon with my NF singlet on. Getting to run with my brother, Ed, who lives in Berlin is the icing on the cake.
There are so many good causes to give our time and money to and I appreciate you joining me in the search for a cure for NF. Having so many specific people like you run with me all year long is deeply appreciated.
You are just a couple clicks away from being on the team and I'm so glad you are here.
