Run/Walking because of Gabe

On March 28, 2008, my son Gabriel died by suicide. It wasn't until after his death that I learned that 33 percent of NF patients experience psychiatric distress and that the suicide rate for NF patients is significantly higher than for the general population. I'll never know what role, if any, NF played in Gabe's death. Nonetheless, I'm run/walking to raise awareness so that other families might be alerted to these possibilities. CTF was there for me, providing encouragement and information throughout Gabriel's life. Now it's my turn to be there for CTF.
