Team Run for my Rugrat
running to raise awareness for Neurofibromatosis
Maria and her siblings.

Thank you for visiting our fundraising page!

The "rugrat" I am referring to is Maria.  She is my soon to be niece and she has Neurofibromatosis (NF).  NF is a genetic disorder that causes tumors to grow on nerves and can affect the development of bones and other bodily tissue.  NF causes tumors to grow anywhere in the body.

My last race was the Rockford Half Marathon.  I set myself a goal of $1,000.  Thanks to all of you I was able to hit 104% of that by raising $1,040!  So thank you, thank you, thank you!

This race will be the Go! St. Louis full marathon in April, 2009.  I have set my sites high for this one with a goal of $10,000.  The site says $6255 because I was able to raise $3745 before this page was set up.  Thank you to everyone for your continued support.  Please help me help my Rugrat and ask others to do the same.

Below is a video from the Children’s Tumor Foundation that demonstrates how your support benefits nearly 2 million people worldwide that are affected by Neurofibromatosis. I hope you’ll please take a few minutes to watch the video and perhaps be as motivated as we are to support The Children’s Tumor Foundation.
