We are the TUMORNATORS and we are working together to bring an end to to the suffering of NF.The Children's Tumor Foundation (CTF) is funding research and gathering great minds from around the world to encourage the sharing of knowledge and ideas in order to expedite the successful end to the suffering caused by NF.
Our Drew has a form of NF called Schwannomatosis. It is a very rare and often spontaneously occuring genetic disorder that causes painful and potentially dangerous tumors to grow on nerves throughout the body. At this point surgery and medications to help combat the extreme pain are Drew's only options.
Please help us in our fight to find a treatment and some day a cure!!
Currently our fight to cure this, is through participating in the ING half-marathon! I'm so excited -not so much about dragging this 51 year old, couch-potato body 13.1 miles, but because it mimics in a tiny way, the struggle that folks with NF must face each and every day.

The NF Endurance Team is one of the tools the CTF employs to raise money. There are hundreds of runners participating in races all over the country. There are people with NF as well as family and friends on our team. In the past few years our Team’s contribution has made a significant impact on NF research. We are now the largest non-public financial supporter of NF research. The more money invested in NF research now, the sooner the “Pharmas” will invest in the promising research discoveries and potential drug candidates, particularly as there is crossover application to other drug therapies.
