Running to find a cure for Carter

I will be running 39.3 miles over two days with hopes to raise awareness of NF with the goal of eventually finding a cure. Between now and the Goofy Challenge on January 10-11 2009, your support and donations will go a long way to help find a cure for NF. The race consists of the Disney Half Marathon on Saturday 1/10/09 and the Disney Full Marathon on Sunday 1/11/09
The charity itself is called Children's Tumor Foundation (click here for more about The Children's Tumor Foundation).

Anything you can give is incredibly meaningful to the ultimate goal to find a cure for NF. You can check back periodically to see how my fund is progressing. You don't have to run to support CTF; simply passing along the message can make a difference. Thanks for taking the time to learn about NF and any contribution you can make.

I am running for Carter. He was diagnosed with NF1 when he was 15 months old and has since undergone 21 months of chemotherapy. His story is enough to motivate anyone to do something to find a cure for NF. When you donate, you will be helping reach that ultimate goal for Carter and countless others who have had to fight. What is NF? Neurofibromatosis encompasses a set of distinct genetic disorders that cause tumors to grow along various types of nerves and, in addition, can affect the development of non-nervous tissues such as bones and skin. Neurofibromatosis causes tumors to grow anywhere on or in the body.
